It's been quite an incredible journey. What started out as a bit of fun has now developed into a full blown marketing strategy. You see, I set out to dominate the search term ' paper gifts for first anniversary ' for A Gift of Poetry. Following the EXACT steps I have detailed below, less than TWO weeks later, I now have over 500 links, in Google, pointing to either my site, or to the feeds of one of my sites. Quite incredible. I have also managed to capture 20% of the first page real estate and that will increase dramatically over the coming weeks. I may even get ALL ten spots on page 1. Time will tell.

To prove this wasn't a fluke, I also did the same experiment a few days later for the term ' funny 50th birthday poem '. I've had very similar results, with over 600 links listed in Google and this time, I have captured 40% of the page 1 real estate.

The embedded terms have also done quite well and I have 20% of page 1 for both '50th birthday poem' and 'birthday poem'.

In fact, the only real problem I've had is that my internet marketing blog is now overrun with people looking for poems (lol). Never mind, it's a nice problem to have.
